Harmony

Harmony
by
Laron R. Lemon

A lady from the land of peace and love
Flew into my life with the tranquility of a dove
A sweet invigorating voice reached my ear
While her beautiful essence could be felt drawing near
She sat behind me in a place of my perpetual misery
Where she provoked the first steps to my recovery

The constant and consistent nightmares which cause my fright
Were soon replaced by a reverie
Embraced by the eternal smile night after night
The chaos of the prior year became a distant memory
A new friendship beginning never experienced before
Brought this stubborn man to a difficult crossroad
Continue the way he is and forever, close a door
Change forever, and gain a friend to create a strong abode

Spinning in circles round and round
It was not until I was dizzy I was found
Traveling from the darkness of the past
Light in the future is being found at last
In the eyes of the eternal mother’s friend
Were found the bandages these wounds need to mend

Words can only say and show so much
Fear grips the heart of all men, especially the brave like myself
Only time and action can truly prove the care in my touch
Although at times it appears emotion has been set on the shelf
The time and energy dedicated in solitude
Will soon show the world the love in this heart
For the end is overdue for this interlude
Now we are at the beginning of a new part

Focused on the plight of all
Forgetting how you are, my dear friend, is my biggest downfall
I write in a broad sort of way
Never directed to one person as I do to you this day

Let us forget the troubles which have left us both scars
When we are together I remember life can be work, and fun
The possibilities of this world seem as endless as the stars
Because I now see how two different notes can play in harmony as one
